Framer Japan Community

[1]

Overview

I created a template for the Framer Japan Community, Japan’s first officially recognized Framer community. The template was designed with a simple and minimal aesthetic, making it easy for users to customize. I was responsible for the design, Framer development, and client communication.

[2]

Goals

A landing page–style template built on the principle of simplicity and usability. By keeping both the layout and navigation minimal, the design creates a clear and focused user experience. A highly customizable CMS structure allows users to easily tailor the content, making the template adaptable to a wide range of use cases.

[3]

Insights

The site is designed around a clear and simple structure, using just two navigation elements to guide users naturally. Information is intentionally kept to a minimum, allowing generous white space to create a calm and focused experience. A user-friendly CMS makes content updates easy and flexible. To enhance interaction, the cursor subtly changes over images and open areas, helping users intuitively understand where and how to engage with the site.

[4]

Outcome

The simplicity of the top page, which allows for easy modification, was especially well received. Designed to be approachable even for Framer beginners, the template makes customization easy and accessible. It is also widely used as a practical starting point for learning and experimenting with a clear, user-friendly CMS.
